Fresh from our restoration shop, a complete and restored original one cent 1935 Baker Novelty Company of Chicago, Kicker Catcher, with an original back door and lock and key. There is original paint on the play field, original score notice on the play field, original score wheel, original 5 steel balls, and the original one cent push chute in the front and center. After you put in the coin, one ball comes out and the Kicker sends it upward to the top of the brass pins. The right knob controls the kicker. The left knob moves the catcher trying to intercept the ball as it falls through the brass pins and increase the score. A successful catch entitles the player to reuse the same ball for a higher score. This machine was in dirty original condition, with apparently low "miles" as the mechanism was complete and unbroken, the score keeper worked, and the cabinet required a minimum of restoration for this machine as we have had ones in way-worse condition travel through our shop.
An original instruction card in beautiful condition, and is now is on display in the machine. The original score keeper reel, is still intact and in great shape in the machine. All in all, a complete working-upon-arrival machine that we refinished, polished, lubed, adjusted and made new again. The cabinet is trimmed in blue enamel as it was originally. This is a Baker Kicker-Catcher and still operates smoothly on a penny, whereas the later replications by Frantz have a silkscreened glass and are normally nickel machines.
