Old, vintage item that looks its age and I have cleaned the glass up a bit while trying my best to avoid getting the wood wet. Spring and shot functions, but I don't know that I'd risk playing this game and potentially breaking something, but it appears you could. I know I use to play with this piece when I was younger, but most of the time it has been safely on display in my home. Appears to have a slight warp?
