Vintage 1938 Odd Ball Upright Pinball Arcade Machine -Daval Mfg. Co. Chicago

  

Chicago, "Odd Ball" pinball machine, shop find. I believe this is a 1938. Electro-mechanical with spring bumpers and flipper-less. Shows a stamped number on the front of the machine by the coin slot #941. Legs, wood trim and electro-mechanical parts all appear to be original.

5 balls/5 cents, the coin slot operates and has a plate showing U. Machine is in good cosmetic condition and shows normal age-related wear on the cabinet. Locking door in front has had the lock drilled out because of no key and there are a couple of drill holes above and below where the lock was. There is a hole on the left side where something was, glass top is in good shape with only a small chip off the top edge of the glass.

Plunger is intact and working. Backbox lights up and displays "tilt", balls goes into play but the playfield does not light up or operate.
